Big Island Garden

On the east side of the front yard, we have a kidney-shaped garden with a massive chunk of ledge nestled in amongst the flowers, shrubs, and a mystery tree...

The bush in front of the rock is a flaming red Miniature Azalea, obviously not in bloom at the time this photo was taken...

This is the back side of the garden. The low bush in front of the lilies and the rock is a wild rose, which used to be pretty but has gotten scraggly with time...

2005 Update: The mystery tree is gone, as is the scraggly wild rose. Gene dug them out at the end of autumn to make way for possibly a Rose of Sharon bush in the spring.
